Professional Information
Dr. Fabiana Polivka, a native of Brazil, started the road to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic when she met Dr. Jen Padrta during a childbirth class at the end of 2007.
She had a miscarriage in 2006 and her medical doctor gave her Clomid to ovulate and 6 months later became pregnant. (She had been diagnosed in her early 20’s with PCOS.) She suffered from hyperemesis, to the point that she was hospitalized multiple times and lost 25 pounds during the pregnancy.
Dr. Fabi became a patient and immediately began to feel better. She started to gain weight and the hyperemesis stopped. Dr. Fabi’s OB told her that she would need an episiotomy and an epidural months before she was to even give birth. Once she became more educated, she fired her OB and hired a midwife 2 weeks before her due date. She left the office after getting adjusted and had a beautiful homebirth that night.
A couple of years later, with regular chiropractic care, Dr. Fabi had a drug-free, second pregnancy and another calm homebirth.
Upon completing her Bachelor's degree, followed by nearly 4 years at Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Fabi returned to Southern California, with her two children, to live out her dream that she has worked very hard to achieve. She returned to Adjust Back To Health for the love of Chiropractic, but this time, not as a patient, but as an amazing doctor. Dr. Fabi took over the practice and married Dr. Frank Polivka, also a Chiropractic Physician and a Kentucky native. They had two more children at home and relocated to Lenoir City, Tennessee, where she is enjoying raising her 4 children and working along side Dr. Jen again.
