Fascia Blasting

Fascia blasting is a technique that involves using a specialized tool to massage and break up adhesions (fibrous bands of scar tissue) in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, organs, and other structures in the body.

The use of the FasciaBlaster® devices can decrease subcutaneous adipose (fat) tissue and the appearance of cellulite in adult women over 12 weeks of regular fascia blasting.

Fascia blasting is a technique that involves using a specialized tool to massage and break up adhesions (fibrous bands of scar tissue) in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, organs, and other structures in the body.

Benefits:

  • Reduces pain and muscle tightness

  • Improves flexibility and range of motion

  • Alleviates cellulite

  • Enhances circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Fascia pain is associated with various conditions, such as:

Procedure:

A fascia blaster is a massage tool (see pics above) that is applied to the skin over a desired area. The practitioner then uses a scrubbing motion to break up adhesions and stimulate the fascia.

Safety:

Fascia blasting is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified practitioner. However, it can cause discomfort or bruising, which generally resolves in a few days. It is important to avoid areas with open wounds, varicose veins, or deep vein thrombosis.

Evidence:

While evidence suggests that fascia blasting can be beneficial, there is limited scientific support for its effectiveness.

Conclusion:

Fascia blasting is an efficient therapy that may offer benefits for pain, flexibility, and cellulite.
