Our Chiropractic Techniques

There are over 200 chiropractic techniques.

We offer quite a few techniques to serve a larger population,

as patients respond uniquely to various techniques.

Massage Therapy Session

Diversified Technique is a common and widely used technique. It aims to restore proper alignment and function to the spine by applying specific adjustments. The goal is to correct spinal misalignments (subluxations) that may cause pain, stiffness, or other neurological symptoms. The technique involves a quick and precise movement to apply force to the affected joint. Adjustments are tailored to the individual patient's needs, targeting specific vertebrae or spinal segments. We are especially trained to adjust deeply and efficiently to accommodate the largest and strongest patients, like professional athletes, but also very gently to properly adjust newborns...and everything in between.

Thompson Drop Table Technique is a chiropractic technique that uses a special table to adjust spinal alignment. The Chiropractor adjusts the drop piece to match the patient's weight and then applies a quick thrust to the area of the spine that needs adjustment, so that portion of the table drops about an inch and the adjustment requires less force. This technique is gentle and comfortable. It can be effective for people who can't tolerate twisting and turning on their side, was well as used for a variety of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, and pregnancy.

Bio-Geometric Integration (BGI) is an approach that can be applied with any chiropractic technique. BGI utilizes the body’s innate geometry and tensegrity which is unique to all individuals. This brings ease in the adjustment to release tension from unintegrated experiences that are stored as subluxations. BGI practitioners are able assess and prioritize subluxations more effectively, supporting deeper, longer‑lasting healing and empowering patients to participate in their own wellness.

Soft Tissue Manipulation for Hiatal Hernia, Prolapsing Uterus or Bladder, and more....

Soft Tissue Manipulation for Hiatal Hernia

A Chiropractor's hiatal hernia technique involves gently pulling the stomach back down into its proper position below the diaphragm. This non-invasive procedure can help relieve symptoms of a hiatal hernia, such as heartburn and acid reflux. A hiatal hernia occurs when the upper part of the stomach bulges through the diaphragm. The chiropractic technique relieves pressure on the hiatus by returning the stomach to its natural position.

Soft Tissue Manipulation for Prolapsing Uterus or Bladder

A Chiropractor's prolapsing uterus or bladder technique involves gently pushing the uterus or bladder into its proper position above the pubic bone. This non-invasive procedure can help relieve symptoms of a prolapsed uterus or bladder, such as urinary incontinence and pressure in the vagina. We often recommend strengthening the pelvic floor and potentially refer out to a pelvic floor PT. A uterine or bladder prolapse occurs when either one of these organs begin to "fall"with either lack of internal muscle tone or often after a pregnancy or hysterectomy. The chiropractic technique relieves pressure by returning the uterus or bladder to its natural position.

Activator Technique is a specific type of chiropractic adjustment that uses a handheld, spring-loaded instrument called an Activator to deliver gentle, precise, quick and low force impulses to the spine. This impulse helps to restore proper alignment and reduce pain. This technique is suitable for patients with sensitive spines or osteoporosis.

Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) is a chiropractic technique that concerns itself primarily with the cranial sacral respiratory mechanism. This is a wavelike oscillation in the covering of the brain and spinal cord. Although quite subtle, this motion is essential for the normal functioning of the brain and spinal cord, and thereby the rest of the nervous system and the rest of the body. It functions much like breathing air, in that it has a cyclic tightening and loosening phase. Like other chiropractic techniques, SOT also corrects abnormal spinal mechanics and any associated nerve problems. These can include back pain, headaches, dizziness, arm and leg pains.

Prenatal/Pregnancy/Postpartum Chiropractic

The Webster Technique involves gentle chiropractic adjustments that's commonly used during pregnancy. It's designed to correct pelvic misalignment and reduce tension in the muscles and ligaments. The goal is to create more space for the baby to move into the best position for birth. We use a drop table to accommodate the pregnant belly and focus on the pelvis and surrounding ligaments to reduce tension in the muscles. The Webster Technique can help ensure the baby is in the optimal position for birth.

According to research, regular chiropractic care during pregnancy can reduce labor times by 25-33%.
